Yala (Ruhuna) National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. Yala combines a strict nature reserve with a national park. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted dear, peacocks, and crocodiles.

Gather 6 of your friends or family members as the minimum and pick up can be arranged from Thissamaharama or Yala area. We have two safari slots as morning safari and Evening Safari. You can choose either time slot according to your availability.

Morning Safari – Time: 6 am to 10 pm

We start the safari around 5.30 am and we pick up you from your hotel (Tissamaharama, Yala, Kirinda area) or meet at the entrance of the park (on your request). We try to observe leopards in the morning and also you will be able to observe elephants, birds and other animals. We arrive at Patanangalla beach or Manik River around 8.30 am for a short break and you can have your breakfast there. After the break, the safari is continued until 10.00 am and return you to the hotel.

Afternoon Safari – Time: 3 pm to 6 pm

Afternoon safari in Yala National park starts at 3.00 pm and we pick up you around 2.30 pm at your location on your request. You will be able to observe leopards, elephants, birds, and other animals during this safari and will provide you an amazing opportunity to feel the sunset at Yala near Patanangalla beach. Then the safari is continued until 6.00 pm and returns you to the hotel.
