Join us for an unforgettable wildlife safari experience in Wilpattu National Park with a Boat Ride in Kalpitiya. This special package is designed with a boat ride from Kalpitiya to Gange Wadiya and Wildlife Safari at Wilpattu National Park. You can enjoy a 1 ½ to 2 hours boat ride (both ways) and luxury safari from Eluwankulama Entrance in Wilpattu NP.

Wilpattu Natonal Park is home for many villus, or natural lakes that dot the landscape in the Wilpattu National Park. Except for two, These lakes contain rainwater, thus are important for resident and migratory water-birds. There are approximately 30 species of mammals in the Wilpattu National Park which include the Sri Lankan Elephant, Sri Lankan Leopard, Lankan Sloth Bear, Sri, Spotted Deer, Buffalo, Sambar and Mongoose. Wetland bird species found in the Wilpattu National Park include the Garganey, Pintail, Whistling Teal, Spoonbill, White Ibis, Large White Egret, Cattle Egret and Purple Heron. Also, many species of Gulls, Terns, Owls, Kites and Eagles are also lives here. The endemic Sri Lanka Jungle fowl, Little Cormorant and the Painted Stork can also be seen.

Gange Wadiya is situated in the Puttalam district along the Mannar road close to Eluwankulama in the Wilpattu National park border. This is situated close to the lagoon birds and animals unique to the region and migratory birds can also be seen. Birds migrate to this area from other countries during the migratory season.
