Overview

Meemure is one of the most remote villages in Sri Lanka, situated near the border between Kandy District and Matale District in the Knuckles Mountain Range. This is a wonderful village where, Sri Lanka’s ancient customs practices, food, livelihoods, farming methods, various beliefs, and indigenous medicine can be experienced. This is an ideal place to explore the beauty of nature with slippery waterfalls, desirable mountains, splashing water streams and forests.
